Ithaca bound, deeper musings
Nov. 3rd, 2005 06:24 amIt's looking more and more like I'll be moving to the Ithaca area sometime in the relatively near future. I'm going to miss the life I've gotten used to here in Oswego. I'm really going to miss being a part of House Goob, and all the activities that surround and permeate it. I'll be leaving behind a goos group of friends, which is the worst part of it. That's what I'll miss most, the people. The city itself is nothing really special.
On the other hand, I've long said that Ithaca would be one of the best places in NY for me to live. Like the bay area in California and Austin in Texas, Ithaca is a bright spot of culture in the middle of a mostly backwards wasteland of a state. ;) Also, I'll have at least one good friend down there when I go in the form of
gillan. The whole thing is giving me a barrel of mixed emotions.
Any big life change is difficult and stressful, but I have the feeling that it will work out well in the long run. Pretty much everything else in my life has so far, after all.
